What I’m noticing
I’ve been spending time with The Idiot, and right from the opening chapters, there’s something quietly disarming about Prince Myshkin.
He arrives without pretense, without strategy, and almost without protection. In a world that seems to run on calculation and social performance, that kind of openness feels both refreshing and vulnerable.
As you listen, you might notice how quickly the tension builds, not through action, but through presence. Who he is begins to affect the people around him almost immediately.
There’s no need to analyze it all right now. Just listen. Let the tone of the story settle in.

Episode 2 will continue with Chapters 3–4.
