New to Breathwork? Start Here
A guide for first-time breathers in our monthly sessions
🌀 What Is Breathwork?
Breathwork is a simple but powerful practice that helps you come home to your body, quiet the mind, and release what no longer serves you.
We use a style called Conscious Connected Breathing (CCB) — a rhythmic, circular breath pattern that invites presence, healing, and deep rest.
People often report:
Emotional release
A sense of peace or clarity
Feeling grounded or reconnected
Visions, insights, or creative inspiration
You don’t need any prior experience to join us. Just show up, breathe, and be open to what arises.

🔍 Medical Considerations
Breathwork can stir both physical and emotional energy. Please take a moment to review this.
Having a medical or psychological condition doesn’t necessarily mean you can’t participate, but we strongly recommend checking with your doctor if you:
Have cardiovascular issues or uncontrolled high blood pressure
Are pregnant (especially in the third trimester)
Have a history of seizures, epilepsy, or psychosis
Recently had surgery or major injury
That said, you are always in control of your breath.
There’s no need to push or strain. A simple breath pattern — like 5 seconds in, 5 seconds out — is safe for most people and still brings benefits. You’re welcome to simply listen to the music, breathe gently, and take the journey in your own way.
Your well-being comes first.

🌿 What to Bring (and How to Set Up)
There’s no fancy setup required — just a little intention and comfort.
You might use:
A yoga mat, couch, bed, or recliner
A blanket for warmth and grounding
Headphones (optional, but great for sound immersion)
A water bottle with a secure lid
A quiet space where you can breathe, move, or sound freely
You’ll be in the privacy of your own home, so make it cozy. This is your space to let go.
⸻
🤲 How We Hold Space
After the breathwork journey, we open the circle for optional sharing. You’re welcome to speak from your heart — or simply listen.
We practice:
No cross-talk (no interrupting or responding to someone else’s share)
No fixing or analyzing
No advice-giving
Presence and confidentiality — everything shared stays in the circle
Listening as love — we witness one another with compassion and care
“We listen not just to words, but to the wounds beneath the words.
To the longing for connection that lives even in the most guarded heart.”
When we hold space, we’re not here to solve or soothe — we’re here to witness.
Presence is the gift. Listening is the medicine.
